When the new members of the GPOA Board of Directors met for their first
monthly meeting on March 2nd the first order of business was to nominate
and vote for officer positions of President, Vice President, and Secretary.
Two new members, Tom Ashmore and Oscar Ochoa, now join three continuing
members, Carol Wilson, Hans Anderson, and Dale Figart. A vote of
support for their previous leadership resulted in Carol Wilson continuing
as GPOA President and Hans Anderson continuing as GPOA Secretary.
Oscar Ochoa accepted the position of GPOA Vice President.
The BOD will meet the first Tuesday of each month. The meetings are
always open to all members everyone is encouraged
to participate, share suggestions, and voice your opinion. |

To Create New Architectural Review Committee; Volunteers Requested |

The GPOA membership voted to institute an Architectural Review Committee
(ARC) at the February Annual/Special Meeting. Previously, the Board
of Directors did double duty, assuming the duties of the ARC. Having
a separate ARC will free up some of the BOD duties and add
a new appeal level for any members who disagree with the ARC decisions;
final decisions for all disputes will still reside with the Board of Directors.
It was decided that one member of the Board of Directors will be the chairperson
for the ARC and Hans Anderson, GPOA Secretary,
volunteered to head up the chairmanship. Now we are looking for volunteers
to the committee. This will require interested
persons to become familiar with the GPOA Covenants and to rule on requests
submitted by community members each month for significant changes or additions
to their homes or lots.
The BOD believes the ARC can probably conduct most of its business through
email, allowing decisions to be made quickly and efficiently. If
you think you can be contribute a small amount of your time in this effort
