National Night Out A Big Success!
More parties to come!
The National Night Out held at the Guilbeau Park Pool on August 6th had a great turnout.  By one count there were as many as 125 of our community having fun in the pool, enjoying the food, and visiting.  The event started at 7 p.m. and went on until 10:00 p.m.  Of course the kids had the most fun, enjoying an evening pool party, to include water volleyball.
Don't forget the next community party will be September 2nd with another pool party for a Back To School Labor Day Bash. The Labor Day Bash will begin at 5 p.m.  Once again there will be food and activities.  So put it on your calendar for another community night out.
Portion of Guilbeau Park To Be Incorporated Into San Antonio's District 6
As part of the city redistricting most of Guilbeau Park will be incorporated into District 6.  As such, Mr. Michael De Nuccio, representing Mr. Berrara, District 6 Council Representative, was kind enough to attend the July 18th Guilbeau Park HOA meeting in order to welcome the HOA into the district.  Ms. Nora Herrera will be our representative on the District 6 staff and she would welcome any and all communications from our members.
Guilbeau Park redistricting will be divided by Guilbeau Road.  North of Guilbeau Road will be District 7 and south will be District 6.
You can find out more about your District representation at the City Council web site: http://www.ci.sat.tx.us/council/  (use the District 6 or District 7 link)
Pool Gets Needed Repairs
If you've been to the pool lately you've probably noticed it looking a little bit nicer lately.  That's thanks to the help of Dale Figart, your Pool Committee Chairperson.  Dale put in countless hours sprucing up the pool.  His accomplishments include a refurbished lifeguard stand, sandbags for the umbrellas, furniture repair, refurbished pool rules sign, new cabana lights and general grounds upkeep.  If you see Dale, give him a big thank you.
