The Board of Directors met on October 21st for the     annual budget meeting.  Although much information was put out on  the meeting schedule only seven other residents showed up for the meeting.  After a long, and sometimes heated discussion on just how to determine how many  residents may or may not pay their dues this year and how we should account for that problem within the budget they settled down to the business at hand of trying to crunch the numbers.
This proposed budget differed from previous years in that the mandatory expenses were grouped at the top of the budget expenses.  By showing these expenses first the members were then able to better determine how the      remaining funds should be divided up.  In order to meet

our obligations many of these remaining categories within the proposed budget were reduced.  Factors used in deciding reductions were previous year's expenses in each category.  Some categories were eliminated all   together.  The suggested cuts centered around trying to budget as much money as possible for our swimming pool operations during the summer months and       maintenance of the community areas.
The Board of Directors will now take those           suggestions and formalize them.  The Board also        reviews all monthly expenses throughout the year to   ensure the funds stay in balance and the expenses do not run over budget.
